Ara receives Order of Australia Medal
In the Queen’s Birthday 2016 Honours List, Director of Theme & Variations Piano Services Ara Vartoukian, has received a Medal (OAM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia.
Ara has been formally recognised for his ‘services to music as a piano technician, and through support of the arts’. Being one of the leading piano technicians in the country, Ara has represented Australia on several occasions in China, Germany, New Zealand and Russia. His skills and expertise in piano technology has made him an international authority.
Ara is also extraordinarily generous with his support of the Australian musical community. He regularly donates his time, efforts and finances to help various organisations, competitions and young and upcoming artists.
